Kurt was born in Stamford, CT, to August and Grace Knapp on June 19, 1943. He worked as a salesman in the Welding Supplies & Industrial Gases industries for more than 40 years. A man of faith and dedication, Kurt served as an usher at Annunciation Catholic Church in West Park, FL, for 25 years.
Kurt was known for his humor and his unforgettable one-liners. He often joked about one of life’s “great mysteries”: Do you take a pee or leave a pee? And he never missed a chance to remind those he cared about to “be careful—and stay in trouble.”
Kurt is survived by his wife, Cheryl Armstrong-Knapp; his children, stepchildren, adopted children, grandchildren, a great-grandchild; and many dear friends who loved him deeply.
