Liloutie (Lily) Dewkinandan, 90, passed away at her home in Hallandale, Florida on November 12, 2023.
Lily was born in La Jalousie Estate, West Coast Demerara, Guyana, on December10, 1932. Lily was the eldest child of 8 to her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ramrup.
Lily is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Lily is survived by her children: Sally Yudhishthu, Rohit Dewkinandan, Maisha Dewkinandan, Sandra Gopal, Kamala Punit, Padmini Persaud, Indira Kunjbehari, Neil Dewkinandan and Nadira Joseph, grand children: Michael Yudhishthu, Richard Yudhishthu, Nalini Dewkinandan, Christine Mahadeo, Sonia Ramnarace, Samantha Ramnarine, Nicholas Dewkinadan, Carolyn Dewkinandan, Rohan Punit, Anil Punit, Ryan Kunjbehari, Reana Kunjbehari, Randy Kunjbehari, Shawn Joseph, Shane Joseph, Sabrina Persaud and Ravi Persaud, great grandchildren: Milan Dewkinandan, Zachary Yudhishthu, Cooper Yudhishthu, Kai Yudhishthu, Sachin Ramnarace, Bindi Ramnarace, Cody Ramnarine, Cory Ramnarine and Ari Punit: siblings Doris Singh, Gladys Singh and Tulsi Ramrup and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Lily was loving, creative and selfless. She enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family. Her hobbies were tending to her plants, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and cooking.
