Margaret Martinez, 87, of Plantation, FL, (formerly of Casselberry and Miramar, Florida and St. Clair Shores, Michigan) passed away November 29, 2016. She was born June 4, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret McColl.
Margaret moved to south Florida in 1969 and had a successful career at Burdines, now Macy's. She was a member of the Plantation Newcomers Club and the wonderful 8:00 o'clock club!
Margaret is survived by her children, Susan Hasenbank (Harold) of Pembroke Pines, FL; Tom Martinez (Demetri) of Davie, FL, and Julie Martinez of Valrico, FL; grandchildren, Diane, Donald, Kyle, Alden and Graysen; and cousin, Hugh Rowan of Fort Myers, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Marty Martinez.
The family will celebrate Maggie's wonderful life this Friday, December 23rd at Fred Hunter's on University Drive in Davie. The family will greet Maggie's friends at 1:00pm and the Celebration Service will begin at 2:00pm. Following the Celebration Service there will be a reception with her family.
