
Mark was born on January 5,1960 in Rapid City South Dakota joining his parents Ealy and Matile Boyd and his sister Pat. His father was in the Air Force causing the family to travel around the world living in numerous places. But Mark called Fort Worth, Texas home. Mark passed on Saturday, April 14,2012.
Mark started school and attended elementary school in Fort Worth,Texas. The family then traveled to Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto Rico where he went to middle school. Ramstein Air Force Base,Germany was their next home where Mark attended high school .Mark excelled in baseball and had five shut outs during his senior year. His first year in college was at Texas Weslyn in Fort Worth,Texas. He joined his sister and her family in Houston, Texas to attend the University of Houston for the next three years majoring in accounting. Mark graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BS in Accounting.
Bell Helicopter and Lockheed Air Craft Company were his first jobs after graduation. But during this time he met his future wife Suzanne and between her introducing him to the music industry and his love of music, he found his calling. Mark worked for numerous record companies; EMI, Capital, Virgin, Motown and SOBE just to name a few. During his later years he formed his own promotion company Pinnacle Marketing & Promotions. He worked with many artist; Najee, Aleiah, Arrested Development, Diane Reeves, Gangstar, Scareface, Janet Jackson, Luther Vandross, Mariah Carey, The Ojays and many more.
Mark shared a close relationship with his parents. He and his sister had a special bond that kept them close through all parts of their life. Throughout everything, good or bad, Mark knew he could always count on his family.
Mark's love for his wife Suzanne of twenty two years and his children; Shameia, Danielle and Sydney was the focus of his life. He put them first and lived the life he wanted them to emulate being kind to everyone and making a positive contribution to his community.
Mark was the best of the best with a loving spirit that radiated from within. He was a beautiful being that inspired everyone who met him. He was loved and well known in his work and personal life. We will miss him, but find comfort by the knowledge that he is now resting in peace.
Left to mourn his passing and cherish his memories are: his wife - Suzanne; his daughters, Shameia, Danielle, Sydney; his parents, Ealy and Matile; sister Pat; brother- in- law Raymond; niece and God Child Alexandra; grandsons , Aveon and Aric ; parent- in- laws Tony and Margaret Belcher; sister- in- law Lauren; a host of other relatives; many friends; neighbors; and co-workers.
