Martine Cadesca

Martine was born in Port-Prince, Haiti, to Jean Ganot Cadesca and Marie Viergemene Cadesca-Louime on January 9, 1978.  She attended primary school in Haiti, College Immaculée de Marie; received a bachelor’s degree at Florida Atlantic University and a Masters degree from Nova Southeastern University.  She married Kernizan (Ken) Laforest in 2003. She worked as a Purchasing Manager for various Non-profit Organizations including the United Nations for over 15 years.  She was involved in church and prayer groups. 

Martine is preceded in death by her father, Jean Ganot Cadesca.  

Martine is survived by her husband Kernizan Laforest, her only son, Ryan J. Laforest; siblings: Marie Gania Rogers, Nadege Cadesca, Regine Cadesca and Samuel Bellande; parents: Marie V. Louime and Stepfather Serge Bellande, mother-in-law, Delicia Jean-Baptiste: Nieces and nephews: Alec Cadesca-Michele, Allison Laveaux, Khalan Rogers, Victoria Lerice and Sophie Elle Cadesca Gauna.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 10, 2024, 4pm at Marie Rogers’ home in Coral Springs, FL.

Funeral services will be held, 6pm on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Parkridge Church located 5600 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33076.
