

Born in Cowan, Tennessee, on February 25, 1921, daughter of John White and Bessie Pearl (Vandiver) Keith. At the age of 14, she moved to New Market, Alabama, to live with her Aunt Annie Mae and Uncle Raymond "Dick" Vandiver. She lived there for many years before moving to Dania, Florida. For ten years, prior to her retirement, Mary worked for The Dania Bank. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survived by her three sons, Philip (Joyce) Hereford, John (Linda) Tobin and Michael (Linda) Tobin; six grandchildren, Mary Lynne (David) McDonald, Brian and Meghan Tobin, Jacquelyn (Chris) Tufts, April and Thomas Tobin; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Heather and Philip McDonald; and four brothers John, Albert, Stanley and James Keith and three sisters Evelyn Barton, Laura Wolfson and Sybil Stuart. She was preceded in death by her first husband, 2nd Lt. Louis Reese Hereford, killed during WWII; her second husband Nicholas William Tobin; a grandson, Louis Raymond Hereford; and two brothers George and Charlie Keith and a sister Betty Ann Amacher.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, January 23rd from 2:00 ~ 3:00 at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street Hollywood. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Mr. Vincent Eberling officiating. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
