Maurice Pierre Auger, 71, of Plantation, FL passed away on January 31, 2019. Born in Brockton, MA to Arthur and Marguerite Auger, he was one of eight children. Maurice worked as a government employee with Homeland Security. He retired after serving in many capacities with border patrol at airports, ports, and the Mexican border in Arizona. Maurice was recognized many times throughout his career for his hard work and efforts.
Maurice was a very intelligent man who loved learning. He was quiet, sweet and caring with a big heart. He was an avid reader and sports fan of Boston Red Sox, Celtics and New England Patriots.
Survived by his wife, Irma; step-son, Jonathan; and siblings, Lynette Kucinski, Marguerite Correnti, Paula Conway, Janine DeStefano, Arthur Auger, and Maureen Metta. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Auger.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at St. Gregory Catholic Church with inurnment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens, North.
