

Miriam Pancoast, 77, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, February 20, 2015, following a long battle with cancer. She was born September 5, 1937, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Rev. W. C. and Eula Howell Sparkman. She was also predeceased by her husband, John Eugene (Jack) Pancoast and her brother Doyle H. Sparkman. She is survived by her two daughters, Diane Alexander, her husband Phil of Port Orange, FL; her grandson Mike Bennett and his wife Kim; her great-grandson, Justin Bennett, Savannah, GA; her great-granddaughter Ashli Godwin and her husband Jason, her great-great grandson Jackson Godwin, Metter, GA; her granddaughter Wendi Cameron and her husband Howard, Sunrise, FL; and her daughter Fay Dixon, her husband Jeff; her grandson Justin Dixon of Davie, FL; her sister Pat Piccin, her husband Rich of Lauderhill, FL; her niece Debbie Cohn and Joel, and great nephew Robbie Cohn and great-niece Casie Cohn as well as many friends here in south Florida and in North Carolina. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Bryson City, NC.
A memorial service will be held for Miriam Sparkman Pancoast at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at First Baptist Church Weston Student Worship Center on the second floor (1420 Indian Trace, Weston, FL 33326)
The family will receive friends at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 1275 Fontana Rd., Bryson City, NC 28713
