Nanci Lyn Longmire, age 50, of Ft Lauderdale, died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb 19, 2014 at Broward General Hospital. A native of Ft. Lauderdale and forth generation Floridian, Nanci loved the climate of her hometown. She was an active member and officer of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 728. She was predeceased by her late father David Longmire (local 719) who helped build the area from the '60's - '90's and late husband Robert Dale Tolan Sr. She is survived by her mother Dorothy Longmire of Ft. Laud., her son Robert Dale Tolan, Jr. (Sara) of Davie; three grandchildren, Robert III, Kali, and Trent all of Davie, brother David Longmire of Coral Springs, and her companions in life, Brooks Heenan and her dog Stryder of Ft Laud. We will be holding a celebration of life for Nanci at the IBEW Local 728 union hall 201 SE 24th St., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316 on February 28, 2014 (Friday) between 7pm - 9pm. Flowers can be sent to the hall on the day of her celebration.
