

Nelson "Brad" Saunders Bradshaw, 87, of Hialeah, Florida, passed away on September 5, 2024 in Hialeah, Florida. Nelson was born in Manassas, Virginia to Bolivar Bradshaw and Flora (Owens) Bradshaw on March 16, 1937 of Brentsville, Virginia. He attended school in Brentsville graduating at the top of his class. After graduating he would then join the United States Air Force.
While stationed at the Homestead Air Force Base he would meet his future wife, Miss Mary Ann Donnelly and they would marry on August 29, 1959 in Miami, Florida. After serving in the United States Air Force he would then go onto pursue a career with Miami Dade Fire Rescue where he retired as a Battalion Chief after 40 plus years of service in 2001. He was part of the recruitment Class number 1. Nelson dedicated himself to his brothers and sisters of MDFR and was a founding member of Local 1403 serving in various roles during his career including Vice-President.
Trustee.Nelson is preceded in death by his mother Flora (Owens) Bradshaw, his father Bolivar Nelson Bradshaw, his sister Shirley (Bradshaw) Miles.Nelson is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 65 years Mary Ann (Donnelly) Bradshaw. Daughters and Son-in- Law Karen (Bradshaw) Hale/Marc Andrew Hale of Weston, Florida and Pamela Bradshaw of Weston, Florida. His beloved Grandchildren Justin Bradshaw Hale (Katy Dionne-Hale) of Jacksonville, Florida, Kevin Andrew Hale of Orlando, Florida, and Ryan Nelson Bradshaw of Weston, Florida. Nelson was also blessed this year with the birth of his first Great Grandson, Jude Bradshaw Hale of Jacksonville, Florida. His Brother and Sister-in-Law James and Elizabeth Donnelly of Memphis, TN and his two Nephews Brian Donnelly of Nashville, Tennessee and Chris Donnelly of Birmingham, Alabama.
A Viewing will be held at the Davie, Florida location of Fred Hunters Funeral Home at 2401 South University Drive on Monday September 23rd from 5 to 9 p.m.. Funeral services will be held the following morning of September 24th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a procession to Vista Memorial Park in Miami Lakes, Florida for final resting.
