

Niza Aida Bowen Cevallos passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at her residence in Pembroke Pines, Florida at the age of 97-1/2. She was born on May 5, 1925 in Ecuador to the late Luis Miguel Bowen and Josepha Santana Bowen.
In 1943 Niza married the love of her life, Voltaire Cevallos. Together they raised 4 wonderful children; Pepita, Betty, Jorge and Miriam. They moved from Ecuador to the United States in 1965 and eventually settled in South Florida where Niza resided for the past 51 years and enjoyed being near the beach. Niza and Voltaire celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary before he passed away in 2013.
Family was Niza’s greatest love. She was an exceptional wife and mother who cared deeply for her husband, 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Always offering her unconditional love and never-ending support to them. Her greatest joy was sharing time with her family and making special memories together. She loved to cook delicious meals for family and friends.
Niza was a friend to everyone she met. She had a passion for life and for making the most of each day. Her sweet and kind nature made her a star in everyone’s eyes, yet she also had a remarkable strength. Niza was a devoted catholic whose love for God influenced her life greatly.
Although her family grieves her loss, they take comfort in knowing that Niza is together again with her Husband, Voltaire and Son, Jorge. She was loved dearly and will be missed by her daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Niza is preceded at death by her beloved parents, Luis Miguel Bowen and Josepha Santana Bowen, husband, Voltaire Cevallos, son, Jorge Cevallos, and great granddaughter, Valentina Coka . She is survived by her daughters, Pepita Cevallos Guillen (Sixto), Betty Cevallos Andrade (Gustavo), and Miriam Sherman (Morris), as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren:

The visitation service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024.
The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 701 North Hiatus Road, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026. The graveside service will immediately follow at Hollywood Memorial Garden East, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024.
