Norma K. Scala

Norma K. Scala was born in Syracuse, NY, on January 14th, 1930.  Norma passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on August 28th, 2024, at the age of 94.  Norma was the daughter of Viola Mae (Wildes) and Joseph A. Kale.  She was the sister of Shirley Tauriello (Danny) and Robert M. Kale.  Norma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Pat, in 2008. For Norma, nothing was more important than the family to which she was so devoted.  She was a wonderful and supportive mother to Paul (Nancy) and Bob (Vicky).  Norma was a loving grandmother to Christopher (Kristina), Gregory (Michelle) and Laura (Joseph).  Most proudly, she was a dedicated and adoring great grandmother to Gregory Jr., Giada, Nicolette, Jrue, Xavier, Nathan and Natalie. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday evening, September 5th, 2024, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 2401 S University Dr., Davie, FL 33324.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1301 SW 136th Avenue, Davie, FL 33325 on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 12:30 p.m.  Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.

We thank everyone for all the fond remembrances and memories of our beloved Mother and the kind words of condolence.  Mom was strong and we will be, too. She will be missed.
