Peter Nathan Angel passed away in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Monday, February 6, 2023. “Pete Jr.” or “Junior” as he was known to most people, was born on February 17, 1975 in Camden, NJ to Peter and Diane Angel. Pete Jr. spent his early childhood years in Pine Hill, NJ, surrounded by a large extended family, before the immediate family moved to Florida in 1988. He grew up in South Florida where he graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1993. He attended Florida Atlantic University and Southern Mississippi State University before going to work full-time for his family business. He worked as a skilled diesel engine mechanic and then a Service Manager for Marine Diesel Specialists and was with the company for over 25 years.
Pete Jr. loved fishing and the outdoors. He enjoyed cooking and eating. He was a stand-out athlete in high school, competing in football, basketball and wrestling. He was an avid sports fan and a devoted Dolphins and Canes supporter. Pete Jr. was larger than life in size and personality. His charisma and approachability made him friends wherever he went.
Above all, he loved his family and friends. He is survived by his two daughters, Alyssa and Jasmyne Angel, his parents, Peter and Diane Angel, his sister and sister-in-law, Gina and Sara Angel and his ex-wife, Melissa Angel Johnson.
There will be a private ceremony, at a later date, for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to a charity that is important to you.
