Peter Montgomery Brundage, born the second of four children to the late Howard and Nancy Brundage of Lyme, Connecticut, left this world on September 12, 2023. He was a man of deep faith and boundless generosity.
Peter's profound relationship with God was evident in his active involvement with the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, particularly in E.E. Evangelism Explosion. His love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, knew no bounds, leading him to support Christ-centered causes worldwide. He selflessly built churches in Ecuador, schools in India, and engaged in missions across China, Africa, and Europe, always with a focus on uplifting the less fortunate.
Beyond his missionary work, Peter had a love for the land. He spent countless hours cultivating trees, restoring stone walls, and clearing acres in Alabama, Connecticut, and North Carolina. His childhood summers in the wilds of Nantucket held a special place in his heart.
Peter's craftsmanship shone through in his decades-long endeavor to build a wooden boat and his mastery as a welder at Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut. His generosity extended to sharing tools and teaching the art of hands-on work to friends and family, including grandnephews and nieces.
Peter Montgomery Brundage was beloved by his family and cherished friends. His early morning arrivals with doughnuts and a warm cup of coffee, ready for conversation, will be dearly missed. He is survived by three sisters, Louise Lynch (Eugene), Joanne Wilcox (Horace), and Geraldine Nolin (Richard), along with five loving nieces, a nephew, and their families, including nine great-grandnieces and nephews.
A public celebration of his life will be held in Florida, with a private gathering in Madison, Connecticut. Peter's memory will forever shine as a beacon of faith, generosity, and love in our hearts.
