

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Larrabee) Burns, his children, Debbie Kane (Bill), John Burns ( Mary), Ralph Burns, Jr., Desiree Newman (Ed), Valarie Lasher (Barry), 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, his brother Robert Burns (Daphne), and favorite priest Fr. Jude Ezeanokwasa.
He is predeceased by his son Steven Burns and 10 brothers and sisters.
Born on February 2, 1930, he was raised in Watertown, MA the son of John J. Burns and Jennie Coffey Burns. He lived in Hollywood and Ft. Lauderdale for 53 years.
He was a Production Manager for Thompson Aircraft Tire for 20 years. He started his own business, Airplane Surplus Tire Company that he ran until he retired. He was known for his strong work ethic and passion for doing a job well.
He met his wife, Charlotte in April, 1948 at a dance in Watertown, MA. They married later that year on October 17th and had been married for 62 years.
He cherished his wife and taught his children to always love and honor her. He was a man who was deeply devoted to his family. He spent his life working hard to provide for his wife and children.
Visitation will be held at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft St., Hollywood on July 5th, 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson St, Hollywood on July 6th at 10 a.m.
