Ravi Parkash Kapila, beloved patriarch and everyone’s Papaji, passed away peacefully at the age of 103, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom, warmth, and quiet strength. Born in 1922, Ravi lived on three continents through a century of change with grace and resilience, touching countless lives with his gentle spirit and unwavering values and devotion to his family.
He is survived by his devoted sons, Arvind and Soneet, their loving wives, Sneh and Prabodh, his cherished grandchildren, Suruchi, Ashish, Swati, Amol and Atul with their spouses Robert, Elliott, and Mita, and his adored great-grandchildren, Anika, Aria, Rohan, and Ravi. His immediate and extended family was his pride and joy, and his presence will be deeply missed across generations.
Papaji’s life was marked by dignity, kindness, and quiet brilliance that inspired those around him. Whether offering sage advice or simply sharing a smile, he brought comfort and clarity to all in any room he entered. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the stories he shared, and the love he gave so generously.
A private remembrance will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor his remembrance by donating to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
