Reina Mercedes Novoa

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Reina Novoa, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on January 11th 2025. Reina was 47 years old and had called Hollywood Florida home for many years, though she was originally from Venezuela. She brought warmth, kindness, and love to all who knew her.

Reina was a devoted wife to her husband, Jesus Rafael, and a loving mother to her four children: Oriana, Marlyn, Matthew, and Ethan. Her heart expanded even further with the birth of her grandson, Alan, who was a light in her life.

Reina was known for her incredible generosity, deep compassion, and ability to make anyone feel special. A business owner and entrepreneur, Reina exemplified hard work and perseverance. Her passion for her work was matched only by her deep commitment to her family and friends. Her bright smile and infectious laughter were a source of comfort to all who spent time with her.

In addition to her family, Reina’s fight against cancer was met with unwavering support from the dedicated healthcare workers at Moffitt Cancer Center, University of Miami, and Memorial Healthcare System. We extend our deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff who provided care, compassion, and comfort throughout her journey. Your kindness meant the world to us and will never be forgotten.

Preceded in death by her parents Henry Novoa and Ana Gonzalez, and her oldest brother Juan Giovanni, Reina is remembered by her family as an unwavering pillar of strength, love, and grace. She touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her and will be deeply missed.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home 6301 Taft St Hollywood FL 33024 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM.

Rest in peace, Reina. Your light will continue to shine in our hearts forever.

Con los corazones rotos, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Reina Novoa, querida esposa, madre, abuela y amiga, quien nos dejó el 11 de enero de 2025. Reina tenía 47 años y había llamado hogar a Hollywood, Florida, durante muchos años, aunque era de Venezuela. Llevaba calidez, amabilidad y amor a todos los que la conocían.

Reina fue una esposa devota para su esposo, Jesús Rafael, y una madre amorosa para sus cuatro hijos: Oriana, Marlyn, Matthew y Ethan. Su corazón se expandió aún más con el nacimiento de su nieto, Alan, quien fue una luz en su vida.

Reina era conocida por su increíble generosidad, profunda compasión y su capacidad para hacer sentir especial a cualquiera. Dueña de negocios y empresaria, Reina ejemplificaba el trabajo duro y la perseverancia. Su pasión por su trabajo solo era igualada por su profundo compromiso con su familia y amigos. Su brillante sonrisa y risa contagiosa eran una fuente de consuelo para todos los que pasaban tiempo con ella.
