Robbie Lee Duguid, 47, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, formerly of Beckley, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020.Robbie was born March 30, 1972 in Martinsville, VA. He was preceded in death by his spouse and the love of his life Tim Aliff, his dad, Frank Dempsey and aunt, Elizabeth (Cookie) Duguid.Rob is survived by his mom, Sharon Dempsey of Beckley; his brothers, Mike Dempsey of Beckley and Jason Dempsey of Charlotte, NC, and his three nieces, the loves of his life, Delany, Zoe and Makenzy, his aunts and uncles, and cousins.Rob was a 1990 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, where he was an avid soccer player, he attended Marshall University and was a veteran of the US Navy. While in Fort Lauderdale, he became an avid softball player, and learned to love the game.Rob will be greatly missed by his family, and his many friends that came into his life.In accordance to his wishes, he will be cremated.In Ft. Lauderdale, Celebration of Life will be held at Fred Hunters Funeral Home on February 8th from 4 to 6 p.m.In Beckley, a memorial service and a celebration of his life will be held at Black Knight Country Club on February 15th from 6 to 9 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Broward County, FL or the Humane Society of Raleigh County, WV.
