Robert James DeMore, affectionately known as Bob to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in Sunrise, Florida, at the age of 75. Born on July 1, 1950, in Queens, New York, Bob carried the spirit of the city with him throughout his life—bold, resilient, and endlessly energetic. His passing leaves behind a legacy graced with love, wisdom, and the joy of a life earnestly lived.
Bob was a cherished husband to his devoted wife, Marie, and a guiding star to his son, John (Jessica), both of whom will forever remember him as a beacon of steadfast support and warmth. Also Bob leaves his two grandchildren; Mackenzie and Hunter, in his memories. Their family home was always a place filled with laughter, where friendships were cultivated, and where Bob's welcoming smile was a constant.
After earning his Associate's Degree, Bob answered the call of duty and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. His dedication to service continued long after his military tenure, manifesting in a successful career as an Electronic Technician with Eastman Kodak. Those who worked with Bob knew him not only for his technical skills but for the camaraderie and mentorship he generously extended to all.
When Bob wasn't weaving the fabric of his professional life, he pursued a myriad of interests with unbridled enthusiasm. As an avid scuba diver, he explored the mysteries of the deep blue, marveling at the wonders that lay beneath the waves. His hands were skilled at woodworking, capable of crafting intricate pieces that stood as a testament to his patience and creativity, and he found equal pleasure at the casino, where his thoughtful and friendly nature was always accompanied by a hint of wise strategy.
As we reflect upon Bob's life, we are reminded of the words by Albert Einstein: "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." Bob Demore's life was indeed a life well-lived and one that was so clearly devoted to the service and joy of those who had the privilege to know him. He has made his final passage from this life to the next, but his memory continues to sail upon the hearts of those he leaves behind.
