My dad worked with Bob at Chicago Title for a long time and I just learned that he'd passed away. I had no idea and was completely shocked. Bob, my dad and myself would go to ball games and I always knew Bob as a man who could brighten your day in an instant. If you walked into a room feeling blue and Bob was there, you walked out feeling upbeat. Bob had that kind of effect on people. My sincere condolences go out to his entire family and friends. He was a wonderful person.

I only recently learned of Bob's passing, and to say the least I was completely shocked and saddened. I will fondly remember his answer to my regular phone calls, "Hi Bob, how are you?" and his response was ALWAYS, "Ohh, not bad for a [enter the day of the week]." We worked through some very complicated matters, and I always respected his creativity, honesty(even when the answer was not favorable for me) and confidence in the solution. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends, and know that the title business will greatly miss a true professional.

My heart is heavy as I write this message to Bob's family and friends. Bob and I started out at the same place in life - I too was born in Detroit, Michigan and was educated in Michigan schools and universities, I started my career in Florida working with a General Contractor in the mid 1980's, by the end of the 1980's I was working for a large Commercial Developer and soon after made a huge transition into Title Insurance, it was then that Bob and I met at Chicago Title in Pompano Beach and forged a professional relationship that blossomed into a friendship. Bob was always quick with a response filled with great advice and a good story or joke. We laughed, learned and enjoyed the brighter side of life in our 20+ years of camaraderie. He has made such an impact on our industry but even more so in my life! I will miss his laugh and bright smile, his generous heart and giving spirit.I hope his family knows how loved and respected he has been by all who have had the good fortune to cross his path!

Matt and Nicole, your dad lived every single day with you in his thoughts and talked about you often. His love for you was obvious and his enthusiasm and joy was contagious. His love for you carried over to his daily interest in my children and I will always be grateful to him for his care and friendship. I respected and loved Bob as an incredible Colleague and friend. I am so very grateful for the conversations we had and the memories we shared. He was a dear friend and I am not ready to say goodbye. I miss you so much, Bob. Thank you . . . for everything.

What can I say, Bob was the most knowlegable person in his field that I ever meet. He was ALWAYS willing to assist in any way that he could and always with great passion, conviction and most of all.... sense of humor.I affectionally called him the "Pocket Italian Stallion" (remember from the Rocky movies)I always looked forward to our talks about life and family when he visited the Broward Office.Bob, the Lord took you way to soon; however I'm sure that you will be hit up there with all of our dearly departed friends and family. Dearest BobLike so many others, I too have known you for almost half my life. You always had a smile, and good word to say to everyone! I can't think of how many times I got a stomach ache from laughing so hard at your stories. And I can't tell you how much it meant to me when you always asked about my son, how he was doing, how I was doing, and how many times you gave me a shoulder to cry on. It wasn't easy being a single, young mother, but you sure made those days brighter, not just for me, but for everyone you worked with.I remember when a big group of us went out for happy hour. Yes, we all knew you LOVED red spiked heels, and I had on a 4 inch pair!! You chased me around all night wanting to drink out of one of them...bahahahahahaaaa.....I don't think we ever laughed so hard!!I remember you calling me a couple weeks ago..."Melody...it's Bob..." That was how you always started the conversation...lol...and after a little chit chat, you asked me to run a ledger card for you. I think I still have the file number written down somewhere.You truly were a beautiful person inside and out, and we are all so lucky to have known you. I hope somehow you realize just how much you have touched the lives, and hearts, of so many. I offer my sincerest condolences to your lovely partner, and to your children. Rest in peace my friend...

We have many great family memories of Bobby. My parents enjoyed his visits in their Florida home, and he always brought Nicole and Mathew with him. I have fond memories of family holidays at our Grandparents home on the west side of Detroit. Bobby was always family orientated and now he will be reunited in a family party with his parents, my parents, and all the relatives. Bobby was always gregarious and had a love for life. I worked for Bob for a few months. Nobody in the company warned me about his particular love for ladys' red shoes, so...... here I am walking in the office with the brightest pair of red high heels. I don't think anybody in the company will forget that day. Bob picked me up and took me to this office with me screaming at the top of my lungs. He proceeded to take the shoes off, and by then we were surrounded by most people in the area laughing their heads off. They did not tell me on purpose. He and I became very good friends. i realized over the past few days that I have known Bob for over half my life. He was larger than life and always kept us laughing just when we needed it the most. He was a larger than life personality and will be so missed. Not only have we lost a good friend but one of the great minds of our industry.

To My dear friend Bob, I can't believe I will never see you again or hear the laughter as you walk the hallways. I want to thank you for always being there for me and making me see the bright side. You helped me through my own loss in life and gave me strength to get through days i never thought i could. For 27 years you and I shared our families lives good and bad. Please know that your father shared every bit of your lives with his co-workers. We knew what you were getting for your birthday and when you were driving. Your dad lived for his kids. I had the distinct honor of working with Bob Maiorano for 26 years. Everyone involved in the title industry in Florida knew Bob as a master of construction law and disbursement practice. His reputation was well deserved. Bob was instrumental in forging legislative amendments to the Construction Lien Law in Florida and there was no transaction too complicated for him to handle. But, for those of us at the Company who knew Bob, he was a great deal more than our go-to man on construction matters. When Bob and I first met, I think each of us didn't quite know what to make of the other. Bob came across as the funny, outrageous, ribald character that we all knew and loved. He was so intense that first day he walked in my office in Miami that he left me speechless. He told me years later that I came across as a stuck up young attorney who thought I knew all there was to know about construction law. I honestly don't remember thinking that way, but if I did I sure as heck had a rude awakening ahead of me. What I can tell you for certain that I didn't know that day was that Bob would be there to teach, inspire and guide me over 26 years of working together.I can truthfully say that I learned more from Bob Maiorano by simply working with him than I did from anyone else in my professional life. You see, Bob was a generous and giving person who didn't hesitate sharing his knowledge with anyone who asked for his assistance. But, I learned a great deal more from Bob than construction law and practice. Bob Maiorano taught me a great deal about the meaning of friendship. When you extended the hand of friendship to Bobby, he was your friend for life. He also showed me the meaning of loyalty--true loyalty--the kind his friends and colleagues always knew to expect from Bob Maiorano. I share the pain of his loss with Bob's family and friends. I can't imagine life without him. If I can say anything inspiring at a moment like this, it's that he taught us well and inspired us all with his zest for life. We are better people for having known him.

Within five minutes of first meeting Bob, I felt like he was one of the guys I grew up with. So genuine, so unguarded, so outrageously funny! I can't remember ever having a conversation with Bob that didn't include making each other laugh. It didn't matter if it was in person or on the phone, we always managed to crack each other up.We would always ask each other what the kids were up to. My son and daughter are about the same age as his, and like two proud Dads, we loved to share the latest news. One day he mentioned that he was excited about going to a Florida Panthers hockey game that evening. I remembered that I had this ugly black rubber rat from Halloween in my desk drawer and I took it out and gave it to him, since the Panthers fans always throw rubber rats on the ice after the game. I'll never forget that he reacted with that big grin of his and he looked like a little kid at Christmas!I consider myself very fortunate to have known Bob. I will miss him, we all will, and we will never forget our good times together.

I offer my deepest sympathies to Bob's family and friends. It was a pleasure to have known Bob and to have worked with him. I agree with everyone that he always brought laughter to all of us. He was a remarkable person and was always there to help out or offer advice. We are all in disbelief that he is gone. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was so sad to hear that Bob passed away. I haven't seen him in years but have such great memories of our time working together at CTIC. He never missed an opportunity to tell a story or a joke or give sage advice...He was ONE of a kind and I feel blessed to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and co-workers.

Bob was a wonderful, gregarious, funny guy and lit up every room he came into. He was also seriously knowledgeable about his field and very generous in sharing his expertise with others. He will be sorely missed.

Words cannot express the void that we are experiencing in the Miami office. The sudden loss of our coworker, friend, and mentor for many has left us all dumbfounded. Although difficult to fathom that Bob will no longer strut his way in every morning, we are hoping to feel his presence once in a while. When I first started with Chicago and saw Bob, the first thing I thought to myself was who in the world is this Joe Pesci look-a-like? Little did I know he would turn out to be this mushy teddy bear of a person. A caring and proud father, who extended that same sentiment to our children, always concerned and asking how they were and how they were doing in school.I am happy to say that on Friday, September 28th we all sat in the conference room in the Miami office and had our last office lunch with Bob. We laughed about the amusing stories and the experiences Bob had throughout the years with the Company. Needless to say there was never a dull moment when Bob was around....he will be greatly missed.My deepest sympathy to Barbara, Nicole and Mathew.

I always knew when Bob was in our office... the few minutes I would spend speaking with him, would be full of laughter. Bob brightened our days with his jokes, ideas and funny sarcastic wit. I want to convey my desire, however inadequate, to offer consolation. He will be missed.

I knew Bob for over 20 years. In that time span there was not one call I made to him wherein he did not make me laugh. He was so knowledgable, easy going, and attentive. There was no one like him. I will miss Bob very much. He was taken away from us too soon.

Bob was my best friend for the past twenty years We always played golf and fished. He was a very close and dear friend. He was always there for me and my family and we truly loved him. We will miss him dearly. We love you Bob.

I worked for Bob when I joined the Company in 1986 in the Construction Loan Department. Bob always talked proudly about Nicole and Matt as they grew up, he was a proud Daddy! Bob always asked about how my family was. He brightened our day. I will truly miss him. My Thoughts and Prayers are with his Family.

I have so many memories of my dad....but the ones that I hold dear are me and my dad walking my dogs Maggie and Snickers. He would let me talk and talk. I learned alot on those walks about love and life. He loved me and my doggies. I love you, Dad!!!!
