Born in Newark, New Jersey on August 10, 1923, the son of Robert and Margaret (Muller) Roos. Bob was raised and educated in Newark and at the age of 19 enlisted into the United States Army Air Force serving in Italy during WW II. He was a musician, playing the trumpet in the Military band and entertained at the American Legion Hall.
Before his retirement, Bob owned and operated his own Television store and repair shop. He enjoyed boating, fishing and gardening. At the time of his death, he was the oldest member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Post 2500 in Hollywood, Florida.
Survived by his beloved companion of 13 years, Claire (Audet) Storti, Claire's daughter, Gail Bower and her husband, Michael Bower, their children, Nathan and Cory Bower.
The family will greet friends from 2:00 ~ 3:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. A Memorial Service conducted by the VFW Post 2500 will begin and 3:00 P.M. Military Honors will follow.
