

BRYAN, ROSE MARY BROWN, 94, passed away peacefully in her home in Sylva, NC on August 27, 2009. She was born in Brunswick, GA on April 13, 1915 to Benjamin Clyde Brown and Reba May Rose Brown. She came to Miami at age 17, she later met and married James Anthony Bryan, Sr.; they had 7 children and lived here for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Bryan, Sr., her daughter Elizabeth Rose Wood, her
son Timothy Clyde Bryan, as well as a grandson Christopher Darren Wood, a great-granddaughter Lauren Rachel Peden, a daughter-in-law Dee Haught Bryan, and her sister, Reba Rose Kestler.
Following the death of her husband of 34 years, Rose Mary moved to Sylva, NC. where she has lived for many years. She was the oldest member of St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church there. She was a parishioner at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Hialeah for many years prior to moving.
She is survived by daughters Patricia Ann Peden (Robert Pucillo) and Mary Marjorie Padron (Charlie), and sons James A. Bryan, Jr. (Ramona), MichaeI Joseph Bryan (Deborah) and John Lawrence Bryan. She also had 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Rose was a kind, thoughtful, strong, intelligent and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered and missed, not only by her family but many who knew her and shared countless experiences with her through the years. Her family wishes to thank them for their caring, comfort and many prayers. Those who helped, visited and cared for her during her final days are also greatly appreciated.
A visitation and Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, 9/1/09 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Fred Hunter
Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street ,Hollywood FL.
A mass will be at St. John the Apostle Church, 475 E. 4th Ave., Hialeah, on Wednesday, 9/2/09 at 10:30 am, interment will be following at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery at 11411 N.W. 25 St. The family will welcome friends at Miami Elks Lodge 10301 S.W. 72 Street (Sunset Drive)
