

Rudolph Mario McBean, affectionately known as Ruddy or Rudy, was born in St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica to Pearl Harris McBean and Jackson Montaque McBean. He attended St. John's Preparatory School in Ocho Rios, and upon passing the common entrance examination, he went to attend York Castle High School, Browns Town, St. Ann. Ruddy migrated to the US in 1972 to join his parents and siblings. There he completed High School at Roger Ludlowe, in Fairfield, Connecticut.
In 1981 Ruddy married Barbara Comrie and the union produced five children. Ruddy loved each of his children equally and never failed to let them know. Although each one claimed that he/ she was his favorite. Ruddy strongly believed in the Jamaican saying " spare the rod and spoil the child." Each child has their own experience with their father's rod.
After Relocating to Florida, Ruddy worked for Carnival Cruise Line as Port Operations Manager. In his later years he worked for the United Stevedoring Company as Port Operations Manager.
He leaves behind his wife Olga Miranda

Daughters- Nyesha, Natalie, Bianca, and Natalia (stepdaughter)
Mother- Pearl
Sisters Hazel (Hopey), Jacqueline (Minchin)
Brothers- Carlton (Carlos), Kennard Harrison (friend who became a brother)
Grandchildren- Joshua, Jordan, Ronnie, Nubia, Winter, Rumello, and Sapphire and hosts of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
