Shirley Edith Flanigan, age 83, of Sunrise, FL, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. She was born December 2, 1929, in Chesapeake, Ohio, to Marshall E. and Eva (Hess) Adkins. She worked for many years as a cafeteria worker for the Broward County School Board. Shirley is survived by son, Gary Lee (Beth) Lilly of Hollywood, FL; daughter, Linda Lou (Mark) Masiero of Sunrise, FL; grandchildren, David, Nancy, Carl, and Carla; greatgrandchildren, Jade, Dana, and Chad. She was preceded in death by husband, Bernard and brother, Raymond.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 16th, from 10:00 to 11:30 am with a Funeral Service at 11:30 am at Fred Hunter's University Drive Home. Burial will follow in Hollywood Memorial Gardens North.
