Susan Cole, 61, of Davie, peacefully passed away on August 15th, 2024. Susan was born in Hamler, Ohio to Rita (Lenhart) Brown and Dr. H.C. (Rick) Brown on December, 16th, 1962. Susan’s educational journey began after she graduated from Defiance High School in 1981. Motivated to help others, she went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University and her Associate of Science in Nursing from Broward College. During her education, she had the opportunity to study at La Sorbonne Université de Paris to study French language. Her educational background allowed her to work as a French teacher, Registered Nurse, and Davita Charge Nurse. It was at Bowling Green where she met her husband, Jerome Cole, who she was married to for 38 years. Susan was a huge animal lover. Over her life, she took care of many furry and scaly creatures. She was also a fan of golf.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Rita (Lenhart) Brown and Dr. H.C. (Rick) Brown; and brother-in-law, William Kraus. She is survived by her husband and daughter, Jerome and Monique Cole. She is also survived by her sisters, Rebecca Kay Kraus, Ann Arbor, MI; Peggy Ann Hahn, Oakwood; and brother, Douglas Paul Brown, Fairfield.
