Thomas C. Thomas, 86, of Davie, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. A wake service in celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 6 PM at the Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 2401 S University Dr, Davie, FL 33324. Saturday's Funeral services will take place at St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church of South Florida at 805 Glenn Parkway, Hollywood, FL 33021. The services on Saturday will begin with the Divine Liturgy at 8:30 AM followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM and concluding with the burial service at the Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Garden 3001 N. 72nd Street, Hollywood, FL 33024.
Thomas was born September 14, 1931 in Ranni, Kerala, India to Varkey and Aleyamma Thomas. He was married on February 14, 1971 to Mariamma. He served as a professor of Mathematics and started his own tutorial college while in India. Shortly after their marriage, they immigrated to the US and have lived here for over 40 years. He enjoyed reading, spending time with his grandson and family, and gardening. Thomas is survived by his wife, Mariamma his daughter Mini, his son-in-law Sebastian, grandson, Sunil, one sister, Saramma and several nieces and nephews.
