Timothy W. Shore

On October 24, 2020, Timothy Wilson Shore, beloved partner, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and colleague, passed away from a respiratory condition not associated with the current pandemic.  The speed and surprise of his leave-taking is as stunning as it was merciful.

Tim was born in Kings Mountain, NC, on June 23, 1955 to Rev. Philip L. Shore, Jr. and Mary Anna Wilson Shore, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by partner Steve Davidson of Hollywood, FL, sister Carey Shore Amberger of Rhoadesville, VA, and brother Philip L. Shore, III of Asheboro, NC.

His working life involved retail sales, self-employment, and concluded with several years at Team Focus Insurance.  He attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and earned a degree in Professional Studies from Barry University.  Tim loved music, electronics, learning, reading, and people.  His friends remember him fondly for his humor, his agile mind, his knowledge, his considerate demeanor, and the generosity with which he acted.  His family is thankful to Seasons Hospice and Memorial Pembroke Hospital for excellent care. Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home ably assisted in final arrangements.  A gathering of friends will be called at a later time to enjoy memories of Tim.
