Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on February 24, 1927, daughter of Mecene and Precilia (Francois) Rene. Raised and educated in Haiti, Urenia was a retired dress maker and came to the United States in 1985.
Survived by her four loving children, Honorine Jean-Batiste, Richard Jean-Baptiste, Moise Jean-Baptiste, Vania Jean-Baptiste. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Anthime Jean-Baptiste on September 11, 2015 and dear daughter, Memonde Jean-Baptiste on February 21, 2015.
Visitation on Friday, May 20th from 6:00 ~ 9:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street Hollywood. A Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 21st at 10:00 A.M. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 8005 Miramar Parkway in Miramar. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum.
