Victor M. Mendoza

Viewing service will be held from 5 PM - 9 PM, Sunday, July 12 at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home - 6301 Taft St., Hollywood, FL 33024. A celebration of life service will be held at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 13th located at 8330 Johnson St., Pembroke Pines, FL 33024. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens West cemetery in Hollywood, FL.

Victor was born June 5, 1937 in Hatillo San Lorenzo, Dominican Republic to Rafael Rodriguez and Ana Mendoza. He was the 2nd youngest of 14 siblings. While in the Dominican Republic, Victor served in its military but migrated to New York City in 1967. With the assistance of his family he secured work in New York's famed textile industry. In 1969, through an introduction from his sister, he met Rosa Argentina Rodriguez. They would go on to marry and have 3 children. In 1972, Victor relocated his family to Waterbury, CT where he raised his children and remained there for 27 yrs. In 1999 he retired and moved with his wife and brother-in-law to Hollywood, FL. Victor was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working with his hands whether it was his Plastic Covers Business or providing maintenance on the homes he owned. But his real passion were his family and his friends. His proudest moments were watching his little girl's ballet recitals and his sons on the baseball field. Yet his ultimate joy was the birth of his sole grandson in 1997.

Victor is survived by his daughter, Julia Mendoza of Los Angeles, his two sons, Victor Mendoza Jr. and his wife Hilda Crespo of Hollywood, and Osvaldo Mendoza of New York, his grandson Victor Mendoza III, his brother-in-law, Juan Rodriguez and his wife, Rosa Argentina Mendoza.

Vctor naci 05 de junio 1937 en Hatillo San Lorenzo, Repblica Dominicana a Rafael Rodrguez y Ana Mendoza. l era el segundo m¡s joven de 14 hermanos. Mientras en la Repblica Dominicana, Vctor sirvio en sus fuerzas armadas, pero emigr a la ciudad de Nueva York en el año 1967. Con la ayuda de su familia consigui trabajo en la famosa industria textil de Nueva York. En 1969, a travs de una introduccin de su hermana, conoci a Rosa Argentina Rodrguez. Se casaron y tuvieron 3 hijos. En 1972, Vctor se traslad con su familia a Waterbury, CT donde cri a sus hijos y permaneci all durante 27 años. En 1999 se retir y se mud con su esposa y su hermano -en-ley a Hollywood, FL. Vctor era un aprendiz de todo y disfrut trabajando con sus manos si era su negocio de pl¡stico cubiertas o el mantenimiento de casas de sus propiedades. Pero su verdadera pasin eran su familia y sus amigos. Sus mejores momentos eran viendo los recitales de ballet de su niña y sus hijos en el campo de bisbol. Sin embargo, su momento m¡s orgulloso fue el nacimiento de su nico nieto en 1997.

A Vctor le sobreviven su hija, Julia Mendoza de Los ngeles, sus dos hijos, Vctor Mendoza Jr. y su esposa Hilda Crespo de Hollywood, y Osvaldo Mendoza de Nueva York, su nieto Vctor Mendoza III, su hermano-en-ley, Juan Rodrguez y su esposa, Rosa Argentina Mendoza.
