William was born in Milford, MA on February 5, 1936, as the oldest of five children, to Elmer and Iris Conrad Bond. He was raised in Massachusetts and was educated there before he enlisted in the United States Army in 1958. He served in the Army and in the United States Air Reserve until his honorable discharge in 1964. He married his love, Dawn Roberson on August 4, 1973.
During his years after the service, he became the general manager for a pet supply company. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, purchasing and restoring old cars, and visiting the mountains - which he found himself making a move to in 2006.
William is survived by four sons: Daniel (wife Crystal) Bond, Brian Bond, William "Billy" (wife Diane) Bond, and Tommy Bond. He is also survived by his sister Peggy Conn, five grandchildren, and his long time companion Jackie Oliver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dawn Roberson Bond in 1995.
Our celebration of the life, and the reunion of William and Dawn Bond will be on Tuesday, November 27th from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood.
Entombment services with Military Honors will be on Wednesday, November 28th at 11:00 A.M. at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
