Roger L. Coon

A lifelong area resident, he was born July 23, 1923, a son of the late John H. and Nancy Lindberg Coon.

Roger had owned and operated COLINDON Farms in Homer for many years and retired from the Homer Central School District where he drove school bus for several years.

He was an active member for many years with 4-H and the Holstein Association.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Isabel J. Leighton Coon, a son, Eric (Rose) M. Coon of Woodland Hill, CA; daughter, Linda (Tom) Leonti of Jordan, NY; and son, Mark (Terry) Coon of Homer; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Roger was predeceased by a son, Roger A. Coon, a sister, Marge Taylor and his brother, Russell Coon.

In keeping with Roger’s wishes there will be no services.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Coon’s memory may be directed to the American Lung Association.
