OBITUARY

Edna Louise Allen (born Jan. 15, 1920), late of 18704 SW 92nd Court, Cutler Bay, Miami, Florida, and formerly of Bronx, New York; London, England; and Montego Bay, Jamaica. Mrs. Allen was taken peacefully by the Lord on Thursday, March 20th, 2 months after celebrating her 94th birthday and while at home. Edna arrived in Miami in 1979 and was a CNA professional, most recently at East Ridge Retirement Community in Cutler Bay. Known as “Miss Edna” to most, she leaves behind her only surviving sibling, Mrs. Ruby Downer of Aventura, Miami, Florida; surviving sons – Hugh (Earl) and Lennox, 3 grand-children, 3 great grand-children, generations of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 29th. at BRANAM Funeral Home - 809 North Krome Avenue in Homestead, Florida (Phone: 305-247-3131.) and conclude with burial at Dade South Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to contribute to a cause which was very dear to Miss Edna - her 2 favorite charities were 1) Feed the Poor and 2) St. Jude Children's Cancer Research.
