Amy Harper Valentine

She was born on July 28, 1968 in Selma, Alabama. She graduated high school from Oxford High School in Oxford, Mississippi in 1986. She received a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Mississippi in 1991. She has lived in Homewood, Alabama for the last 12 years, working primarily as a legal secretary. She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Her passions were her children and singing in the church choir and with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.

She is survived by her two children, Bennett and Sara, her parents, Donald and Mary Jim Harper, and her brother and sister-in-law, James and Julie Harper. A visitation is scheduled for 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Homewood, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. She will be laid to rest at the Harmony Baptist Church cemetery in Anniston, Alabama following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to either Covenant Presbyterian Church for Bennett and Sara Valentine, 65 Old Montgomery Hwy., Birmingham, Alabama 35209, or to James D.
