

She was married to Robin B. MacQueen from 1953 till his death in 1969. They had three children—Helen E.MacQueen, of Seattle, John B. MacQueen, of Alabaster, Alabama, (wife, Verna), and Thomas J. MacQueen, of Cahaba Heights. She is also survived by her grandson, Ian G. MacQueen, his wife, Ashlyn, and their daughter, Evelynn.
Mrs. Sharp worked in the banking industry for many years, and became an assistant vice president at Birmingham Trust National Bank (now South Trust), where she met her husband, Newton C. Sharp, of Morris, Alabama. They were happily married for 20 years, until his death in 1999.
Mrs. Sharp was a long-time member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Cahaba Heights. She graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1952.
Annie and her seven brothers and sisters were the children of Cecil C. Bailey and Edna H. Bailey. She is survived by three sisters—Mary B. Noble, Betty Davis, and Louise Sims and her husband, Virgil.
Her other siblings, who pre-deceased her were Curtis E. Bailey, June Henderson, Robert D. Bailey, and Raymond L. Bailey.
Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Valley Chapel, Homewood Alabama, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held afterward at 12:30 p.m. at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, Alabama.
