Billy J. Thomas, age 71, of Birmingham, Alabama died on December 25, 2013. Mr. Thomas was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a truck owner/operator with Landstar/ Ranger. A veteran, he served his country as a Sgt. in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Thomas; son, David Thomas; daughter, Denise Singleton (Mark); grandchildren, Brittany Simpson (Clinton) and John Thomas Singlelton; brother, Jimmy Thomas and John Thomas and sister, Lou Rasco. The family will receive friends at Ridout's Trusville Chapel 11- Noon followed by a memorial service at Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to either copdfoundation.org or First Baptist Church of Irondale Building fund.
