Jean Sertell, age 89, died on November 26, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Daniel and Carolyn Carney, Sr. and her brother, Jim Carney. She is survived by her son, Michael Sertell and her daughters, Sharon and Susan Sertell. Her brother John (Janice) Carney and many nieces and nephews. Jean loved her extended family Kathy, Glenn, Charlesy and Chase Crocker.
She dedicated her life to her loving family and her Catholic faith. She was a life-long member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and she served her Church as a Sacristan, Flower Coordinator and she was a member of the Tree of Life of the Ladies Altar Sodality and member of the Our Lady of Peace Guild.
The family cordially invites friends for a visitation, ten o'clock until eleven o'clock in the morning on December 2nd at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1728 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, Al. A Memorial Mass will be offered at eleven o'clock in the church. A private Interment will be held at later date.
Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel, Homewood.
