Casey Lee Jennings

Casey Lee Jennings, of Vestavia, Alabama passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Casey was born in St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Al on January 12th 1979. Casey attended Shades Valley High School and UAB. She worked as a legal assistant at Hare, Wynn and Newell for many years.

Casey and her long term companion, Matt Blandford resided together in the Cahaba Heights community.

She was survived by her daughter Ella Brown of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, her parents Linda and Marty Jennings of Cahaba Heights; brother Michael Jennings of Moody, AL; nephew Jake Jennings of Moody, AL and also many aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.

Through the years Casey enjoyed time spent in the outdoors. She loved gardening with her parents and helped them grow a beautiful garden. Going to the beach, the lake, and being in nature was where she'd love to spend her time. She was passionate about all animals, always eager to provide a cat or dog with a loving home.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 9th, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood. A graveside service in her honor will be held on Monday, October 10th at 11:00 AM at Croft Acton Cemetery, 2436 Old Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham, AL 35216.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Birmingham Humane Society in her memory.
