Charles A. "Charlie" Hindman

CHARLES A. "CHARLIE" Hindman of Homewood, born to Tom F. and Myrtle M. Hindman on March 13, 1924, passed away on October 10, 2011. Mr. Hindman was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church and he retired from Ridout’s Brown Service after many years of faithful service.

He was preceded in death by his first love Virginia Shelton Hindman and their son David Earl Hindman and by his second love Jeanette C. Hindman; his brothers: Tom S. Hindman, Robert E. Hindman and his sister Juanita H. Turrentine. He is survived by his children Rick (Kathy) Hindman, Crystal Hindman White and daughter in law Michelle Hindman; his brother Dudley (Mayda) Hindman; his step-son Carl (Lenise) Crow and step-daughter Phyllis (Frank) Chiarella. Also left to treasure is memory are his grandchildren: Lauren (Brent) Hand, Ashley and Katelyn Hindman, Robert and Christopher White, Joshua, Kenneth and Lindsey Hindman, Cameron and Jacob Crow, Lauren(Chalen) Martin and Allison Chiarella.

Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Mr. Hindman had requested donations be made to the Dawson Memorial Baptist Church Children’s Building Fund.

Services are under the direction of Ridout’s Valley Chapel.
