Claude Rhett Wood Sr.

WOOD SR., CLAUDE RHETT Claude Rhett Wood Sr., age 64, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011. Rhett was a graduate of Banks High School and the Samford University School of Pharmacy. He was a third generation Pharmacist at Wood's Rexall Drugs in Eastlake. After retiring from pharmacy he started a career in Real Estate with Realty South. He had most recently became a real estate investor and started his own company, RSW Group and RSW Investors. Rhett was known for his love of life and was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cleveland and Olive Posey Wood. He is survived by his wife Stephanie, his children Rhett Jr. (Nicole), Jyl (Kevin), and brother William C. (Bucky) Wood. Rhett is also survived by his four grandchildren, Ella, Nicholas, Jackson and Isabel. Funeral Services for Mr. Wood will be on Thursday evening, July 28, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Ridout's Valley Chapel, with a time of visitation from 5 to 7:00 PM In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Birmingham Humane Society, 300 Snow Drive, Homewood, AL 35209.
