

Deveaux Johnston Robinson, age 89 of Birmingham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 2, 2019. She was born on December 24, 1929 to the late Gregory and Elsie Johnston in Birmingham. Deveaux graduated from Brookhill School and then received her degree in Art from Converse College. She was married to Charles Barnwell Robinson for 41 years until his death in 1995. Deveaux and Charles lived in Birmingham until they moved to Tampa in 1979. She moved back when he died. Before moving to Tampa, she had been an active member at Mountain Brook Baptist Church. After returning, she attended Brookwood Baptist Church and Mountain Brook Community Church. She was a woman of faith and a loving Christian. Deveaux was a gifted artist and was a member of The Jr. League, Birmingham Country Club, Carrollwood Country Club, Book Markers Club, Garden Club, Bridge Club and her Supper Club of 60 years.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her sons: Charles Robinson (Lisa); Greg Robinson, David Robinson (Cheryl)_ her daughter Deveaux Littleton (Winfield); her grandchildren: Chase Robinson, Kelly Robinson, Taylor Robinson, Meredith Robinson Guthrie (Hunter), Elisabeth Robinson, Nathan Robinson, Win Littleton, Brooke Littleton, Memory Littleton, and Bradley Robinson.
Celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain Brook Community Church with visitation following the service. Graveside services will be private for the family.
The family request memorials be made to Franklin Graham’s Samaritan Purse or the Birmingham Humane Society.
