Eloise Tucker Smith, of Homewood, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, the 25th of September, 2022. Eloise was born on December 19, 1937, and grew up in Centreville, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Howell and Altha Evelyn (Hobson) Tucker; husband, Hubbard Samuel Smith; and daughter, Sharon Ruth Smith. A woman of unwavering faith and determination, Eloise had a gift for selflessly serving others and her smiling face could often be seen volunteering at places such as the Homewood Senior Center, Meals on Wheels, the Homewood Football Concession Stand at Waldrop Stadium, and at Oakmont United Methodist Church (now Trinity UMC West Campus). Eloise found delight in her beloved brothers and sisters, her church family, Alabama football, Atlanta Braves, community events, family gatherings, birthday parties, and making fig jam.
Eloise loved her family and friends well, and was deeply loved by many, but the people who called her Mimi would consider themselves the luckiest of all.
