Guy Freeman

Guy William Freeman Sr. passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 69. He was born in Birmingham, Al on June 2, 1956, to Donald L. Freeman and Jean C. Freeman. To know Guy was to love him. He was strong in his faith; he started off every day reading his bible and daily devotional. His belief in God’s goodness shaped how he loved, served, and lived his life.

Guy was a graduate of Homewood High school in Birmingham AL. After high school he worked in the automotive industry for many years until his retirement. He was happiest grilling and cooking for his family, watching Alabama football, spending time at the beach, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Guy was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Freeman, his paternal grandparents, Guy and Emmy Freeman, and maternal grandparents, William and Mitylene Christiansen. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Angie Boozer Freeman, daughter Jessica (Brad) Hobby, sons Guy (Meagan) Freeman Jr, Jarrod (Sarah) Brewer, Justin (Lexi) Brewer, and his 7 grandchildren Ava Martin, Rilynne Jones, Addy Hobby, Grant, Parker, and Jordyn Freeman, and Jonah Brewer, brothers Barry (Katie) Freeman, Jeff (Debbie) Freeman, numerous nieces and nephews, Mother Jean C. Freeman, mother-in-law Alice Cope, father in law Richard (Allison) Boozer, and special friends Rusty (Barbara) Sedberry, and Gordon (Libby) Welch.

Services will be held August 2, 2025, at 1 pm at The Chapel at Grants Mill Campus 4700 Highlands Way Irondale, AL 35210.
