Henry Harrington Lavallet

Henry Harrington Lavallet passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Henry grew up in Birmingham, where he attended Ramsey High School. He later studied at Auburn University before graduating from Birmingham-Southern College.

Henry will be remembered for his gentle manner, steady kindness, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to family and friends. His quiet strength and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Albert Lavallet Jr. and Nelda Harrington Lavallet, and by his brother, Phillip A. Lavallet III.

Henry is survived by his wife, Julia Cole Lavallet; his sister, Virginia Underwood; his sons, Henry Harrington Lavallet Jr. (Emily) and Phillip Lot Lavallet; his stepdaughters, Julia Estes Norville (Aurore) and Catherine Norville Frey (Aaron); and his grandchildren, Mason Lavallet, Megan Lavallet, Peyton Norville, Rory Norville, Pearson Bedingfield, Julia Bedingfield, Amber McDougald, and Anna Frey. He also leaves behind two great grandchildren, Harper Lavallet and Leighton Lavallet.

A Reception and Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, Alabama.
