James (Jim) Marshall Grayson, Jr.

Jim Grayson passed away October 25, 2019. Born in Birmingham, Alabama. Attended Shades Valley High School as a well decorated athlete and enjoyed skiing while attending Colorado State University. Worked in real estate development for 45 years in Birmingham. He's preceded in death by his parents Janice Wood Grayson and James (Sleepy) Marshall Grayson, Sr. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Deborah Billingsley Grayson. His children include Loren Grayson Chambers (Chris Chambers), James "Jay" Marshall Grayson, III (Melinda Grayson), Taylor Grayson Clemmer (Michael Clemmer) and Warren Rogers Grayson (Daphne Grayson), Deric James Grayson, Clarence Thomas Grayson, Trace Christian Grayson, Jackson Allen Grayson, Ashley Ella Grayson and Karen Katherine Grayson. Grandchildren include James "Marshall" Grayson, IV and Savannah Cay Grayson; James "Jay" Stanley Clemmer and Caroline Elizabeth Clemmer; Mary Helen Grayson; Ella Ruth Chambers and Corban Lee Chambers and Clarence Thomas Grayson, Jr. His surviving siblings are Cathy Grayson Crow, Dr. Garry Sandlin Grayson, Vicki Grayson Blair and Andrew Claude Grayson. Friends are invited to a visitation honoring the life of Jim Grayson on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 5:30pm -6:30pm at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood followed by a service at 6:30pm.
