

Stansfield, Kathleen Ashley, age 25, of Birmingham, Alabama, died February 24, 2010. Kathleen attended Mountain Brook High School. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Jacksonville State University, and was pursuing a graduate degree in Behavioral Analysis. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta, worked with autistic children, and tutored undergraduate students at Jacksonville State University. She also loved working with animals, especially her dogs, Chloe and Polo.
Kathleen is survived by her father, Alan V. Stansfield, Sr. of Macon, GA; her mother, Nancy Ingle Stansfield of Birmingham, AL; grandmother, Elizabeth Lucille McClellan of Alexander City, AL; brothers, Chip Stansfield of Atlanta, GA and Will Stansfield of Birmingham, AL; sister, Mary Stansfield Keller (Michael) of Atlanta, GA; nephew, Wade Keller; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Funeral Service will commence at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church, with burial following at Alexander City Cemetery. Dr. Carey Speaker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Ridout’s Valley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Exceptional Foundation at www.exceptionalfoundation.org.
