

Kellye was born on April 2, 1985. She was the only daughter and the youngest of four children born to Michael L. (Mitch) Chambers and Barbara (Babs) Dickson Lacey. Kellye was preceded in death by her grandparents James and Jean Chambers and Walter and Margaret Dickson, her uncle Ronnie Chambers, and her beloved brother Matthew Patrick Chambers.
Kellye attended Cherokee Bend Elementary and Mountain Brook Junior High. She graduated from Oak Mountain High School in 2003. She studied criminal justice at The University of Alabama in Birmingham and received her Advanced Paralegal Certificate from Penn and Foster. Kellye loved spending time with family. Her proudest achievement and the most important person in her life is her beautiful daughter, Addye. They enjoyed dancing together, especially their special dance, working on arts and crafts and watching Miraculous since Addye said her mom kind of liked superheroes. Kelllye was encouraging, giving, and fun-loving.

Cousins Caitlin Keen, Rob Keen, Kimberly DiChiara Stone, Ashley DiChiara Miller, Mallory DiChiara Ashwander, Jay Chambers, Jill Chambers Robinson, Brian Long, and Carey Long.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 1, 2021, between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. followed by a brief service at the Ridout’s Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Autism Society of America.
