Margaret Gallagher Kime

Margaret Gallagher Kime, aged 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 23, 2015. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, R. Bruce Kime, her parents Thomas Joseph and Mary McGregor Gallagher and her sisters Mary Catherine Gallagher Henning and Ann Gallagher Laseter. She is survived by her children Thomas Bruce Kime (Chris) of Birmingham, Richard Elliott Kime (Joyce) of Atlanta, Patti Kime Remmert (Bill) of Tuscaloosa, Carolyn Kime Underhill (Mike) of Summerville SC and her brother John Gallagher M.D. of Houston. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren Noelle Kime Ward (Matt), Ryan Kime (Kathleen), Tyler Kime (Jenni), Stephanie Kime, Amy Kime Baker (Chris), BT Remmert (Katherine), Bess Remmert Osucha (Andrew), Lucy Remmert Strozier (Barry), Molly Remmert Rossell (Rich), Luke Remmert (Adrienne), Jennifer Underhill Lombard (Chris), Christie Underhill. She was blessed with 25 great grandchildren (all 7 years and under). Margaret graduated from Philips High School and Northwestern University. She was a member of the Belvedere Study Club for 60 years. Margaret was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church for over 65 years. As a member of Our Lady of Peace Guild, her name was added to the Honor Tree for 20+ years of dedicated service to the Altar Sodality.

A Mass celebrating her life will be held on Monday September 28, 2015 at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Homewood, Alabama. Visitation will precede the Mass from 9:30-11am at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending a memorial donation to Our Lady of Sorrows Building Fund.
