Marilyn Brisky

Marilyn Faye Fancher Brisky, 86, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on November 15, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. Born on January 10, 1939 in Sterrett, AL, Marilyn spent most of her life living within 50 miles of her childhood home. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Aubrey Brisky, her parents William & Vera Fancher, and her 6 siblings. She is survived by her two sons, William of Fort Myers, FL and Jerre (Tom Herzog) from Pensacola, FL, lots of nieces, nephews and all of the people she impacted on a daily basis.

Marilyn worked for over 35 years at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL, predominantly as a Unit Secretary and a Nurse Call Operator. She loved and accepted everyone into her home and at her table of good Southern cooking, with the only requirement being kindness. She also went out of her way to help anyone with need, even when she didn't have much to give. This love and kindness also extended to animals, all were welcome and she frequently adopted any "neighborhood" animal that wandered into the yard.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 21st from 5-7pm at Ridout's Funeral Home 1800 Oxmoor Road. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd at 11:00am at Calvary Baptist Church, 76 Calvary St, Vincent, AL.
