Mary "Kitty" Catherine Fleck

Kitty was the daughter of the late James M. and Daisy Johnson Jenkins. She graduated from Lineville High School and attended Massey Business College. After moving to Birmingham she was employed by U. S Pipe and later Protective Life.

Kitty was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church and served for many years in the Children’s Department. She enjoyed volunteering with the Homebound group and visiting members from church. Kitty cherished time with her family and enjoyed trips to the beach each summer. She loved spending time outdoors and staying active. She was adamant about walking daily and if the weather was bad would walk the halls of Somerby where she lived.

Kitty was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Clarence G. ( Buddy) Fleck, Jr. and her 7 brothers. She is survived by her sister Ruth Lashley, her daughters Pam Dixon ( Eric) , Leigh Ward ( Terry) , her grandchildren Allie Miller, Ashley Santelli ( Carlos) and Adam Dixon ( Amanda) and by her great grandchildren Noah and Cole Miller.

A visitation for Kitty will be held Monday, September 22nd at 12:00-1:30 PM followed by a graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
