Paul was born and raised in Birmingham and graduated from Woodlawn High School in 195? where he played football. He served in the Navy as an Air Crewman. He had a career that spanned six decades in the field of structural steel design and fabrication, an industry in which he was very well respected. He is preceded I death by his parents, Paul and Mildred Swanson.
Paul is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 61 years, two sons Kyle and Paul, Jr. (Deborah), a grandson Matthew, his dog Jake, several nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved with his whole heart. He led by example with honesty, integrity, and a tremendous workethic. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Paul truly left this world a little better place. Graveside services will be 11:00 Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Elmwood Cemetery.
